Why we exist

A few years ago, a friend who runs a small contracting business in Los Angeles asked what seemed like an easy question: where should he buy a business phone number? Answering it meant opening a dozen provider sites, each with its own pricing model, its own bundle of features, and its own fine print about minutes, messaging and setup fees. What should have taken ten minutes took most of an afternoon. We realized that almost every small business owner faces the same wall, and almost none of them have an afternoon to spare.

So we built VoIPCedec as an independent desk that does the comparison work and explains the results in plain language. We are not a phone company. We do not run a network, sell numbers, or take payments. That independence is the whole point: because we are not trying to sign you to our own plan, we can tell you when a cheaper tier is enough, when a feature is not worth the upgrade, and when a fee on the order form deserves a second look.

What we do, and what we do not do

We compare current plan tiers, number types and feature sets across the US market, and we surface the real all-in cost rather than the headline rate. When you tell us what you need, we send a short, honest shortlist so you can compare like for like. When you choose a direction, you complete sign-up and payment directly with the licensed provider that supplies your number. We never insert ourselves into the transaction, and we never take a payment for phone service.

To be completely clear about how we keep the lights on: when you choose a provider through our recommendations, that provider may pay us a referral commission. It costs you nothing extra and it does not change the comparisons we publish. If a lower-cost option is the better fit, that is what we will tell you, commission or not.
